As the administrator of a Scorecast Business platform, you can decide whether or not to offer a discussion area within your Scorecast Business competition.

The chat is visible on all pages (excluding the administration area) on the desktop-format website and on the dedicated area from the Scorecast Business mobile applications available on iOS and Android. On the other hand, the chat is not visible from the smartphone-format website, regardless of the option shown below.

Manage chat display

To manage the chat display of your Scorecast Business contest, you need to be logged in with your administrator account on your Scorecast Business contest website.

  1. Click on Administrate and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Messaging chat option.

A switch ON|OFF allows you to enable or disable this option.

The two chat options

If the chat option is enabled, you can also use chat for the administrator only. This means that only the administrator can send messages. This is useful if there are a lot of you and you want to make announcements during the competition.

To manage who can post in your Scorecast Business contest chat, you need to be logged in with your administrator account on your Scorecast Business contest website.

  1. Click on Administrate and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Messaging chat option.

There are two options next

  • Allow all players to write in the messaging chat: everyone can write in the chat.
  • Allow only the administrator to communicate: chat in announcement mode, with only the administrator able to send messages.
